Connecting Faith and Community at Gillespie Methodist

Adult Sunday School – Growing Together in Faith
Our Adult Sunday School ministry offers a welcoming space for learning, reflection, and fellowship. We have three classes designed to meet a variety of interests and spiritual needs:

Fellowship Class – A warm gathering focused on shared discussion and community building.
Story Class – Exploring the great narratives of Scripture and how they connect to our lives today.
Well Class – A reflective group for those seeking a deeper well of wisdom and renewal.
Wherever you are in your faithful journey, there’s a class waiting for you. Come, learn, and grow in God’s Word alongside friends.

Bible Study Groups – Digging into Scriptures. We offer two Bible Study groups for adults of all ages:

Beginner Study – Perfect for those just starting out with Scripture or looking for a refresher. Questions are welcomed, and no prior knowledge is required.
In-Depth Study – For those seeking to go further, this group examines the historical, cultural, and theological layers of God’s Word. Both groups provide meaningful discussion, prayer, and encouragement in a supportive environment.

Gillespie Methodist Women’s Group – Faith in Action.
The Gillespie Methodist Women gather regularly for fellowship, prayer, and service. This active group is dedicated to spiritual growth and supporting missions both locally and globally. From hosting events to organizing outreach, the Women’s Group is a cornerstone of our church family. New members are always welcome!

Living Last Supper Re-Enactment.
Each year during Holy Week, our church presents the Living Last Supper Re-Enactment. This dramatic presentation brings the story of Christ’s final meal with his disciples to life. Through Scripture, narration, and visual storytelling, the congregation is invited to experience the depth of Jesus’ words and the power of his sacrifice in a fresh way.

Volunteer Opportunities – Serving with Your Gifts. There are many ways to serve at Gillespie Methodist Church, and we invite every adult to consider sharing their gifts:

Liturgist – Lead readings and prayers during worship.
Greeter – Offer a warm welcome to all who enter our doors.
Musician/Vocalist – Share your musical talents in worship.
Youth Group Leader – Help guide and inspire our next generation.
Technology Team – Support audio, video, and livestream ministries.
Sunday School Teacher – Invest in the spiritual growth of children and youth.

“No matter your talents or schedule, there’s a place for you to serve. Together, we are the Body of Christ at work in the world.”
