Mildred E Vollmar, 88, of Glen Carbon, IL, formerly of Bunker Hill, IL, died at Eden Village Retirement Center, Glen Carbon, IL on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 4:45 am. She was born September 28, 1937, in Galesburg, IL to John Louis Borst & Mary Janet Anderson Borst. She married Virgil Vollmar on March 23, 1958. She was a secretary for the Bunker Hill School District. Mildred was a pianist for the Gillespie Methodist Church and the Bunker Hill Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Ken (Amy) Vollmar of Springfield, MO, Gordon (Judy) Vollmar of Walshville, IL, Neil (Trudy) Vollmar of Edwardsville, IL, son in law, John Crane of Shipman, IL, grandchildren, Johnna (Bob) Strader, Nick (Diana) Vollmar, Jake Vollmar, Matthew Vollmar, Abigail Vollmar, great-grandchildren, Jaxson Strader, Knox Strader. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, daughter, Janet Crane. Visitation will be on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm with memorial services to follow at the funeral home at 6:30 pm.
